How do I apply for a full-time qualification at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy?

The website provides information about our Fashion foundation, the undergraduate courses Fashion Business and Fashion with Textiles Design and the master’s degree (MSc) International Fashion Business & Management. Including the entry requirements for each individual programme, the documents you are required to submit in support of your application and the admissions deadlines.

What does the selection procedure involve?

Choosing the right course at a university that’s right for you is a big decision to make. That’s why we don’t just make our decisions based on a submitted form, but we would like to talk to you during one of our interview days. For us, in addition to your prior education, your motivation, drive and commitment are just as important, if not more so. In order to make the admission process as clear and straight forward as possible we have split it into four steps.

Will I be required to attend an interview at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy if I live outside of the Netherlands?

If your application is shortlisted and you are currently studying in the Netherlands, the rest of the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, then you will be expected to travel to Amsterdam for your interview. If you are studying elsewhere and your application is shortlisted, you will still be invited to attend our interview day in Amsterdam. However, we understand that it may not be possible for you to travel here at such short notice. If you are in this situation, please contact us to ask for an interview by skype.

Why only 10-14 students per course, per academic year?

The Amsterdam Fashion Academy believe that each student should be treated as an individual and not just as ‘this year’s intake’. We are an informal, friendly, small-scale and creative boutique academy, who’s’ focus is on you as an individual and recognise that you have your own individual needs and talent. Having such small student numbers allow us to nurture you and support your progression through the creative and academic processes during your studies at the academy.

How much will my tuition cost?

We are a private international fashion academy and therefore not subsidised by the Dutch government. Our tuition fees for national and international students as well are the following
