Fees & funding
On this page, you will find the fees for the 2023-2024 academic year. Please note that The Amsterdam Fashion Academy is a non-governmental and non-subsidised academy.
The tuition fees are the same for all students: no distinction is made between national and international students with regard to fees.
Bachelor’s degree Fashion Business
Bachelor’s degree Fashion Design
Year 1 early bird tuition fee: € 16.000
The Year 1 early bird tuition fee of € 16.000 is available for students who apply on or before the 3rd of April 2023 and enrol by the 28th of April 2023. The tuition fee of € 16.000 is only available for the Year 1.
Regular tuition fee: € 17.000 per year.
The regular tuition fee for students who apply after the 3rd of April 2023 is € 17.000 per year.
Application fee: € 350
The application fee is due at the moment of application and is non-refundable unless the Amsterdam Fashion Academy won’t accept you in the programme. This is a one-time fee, so you only need to pay it during the process of admission.
Tuition fee:
Students who apply before the 3rd of April 2023 will be invited to an Interview Day or Admission Interview. If the student is accepted, a deposit (20% of the early bird tuition fee) is required before the 29th of March, 2024. The remaining amount must be paid before the 15th of July 2024, or according to the payment plan agreed previously.
Students who apply after the 9th of February, 2024 won’t be able to attend an Interview Day, but will have a personal admission interview on an agreed date. If the student is accepted, we will request the payment of a deposit (20% of the tuition fee) 3 weeks after the acceptance date. The remaining amount must be paid before the 15th of July, 2024 or according to the payment plan agreed previously.

- 20% payment before 29th of March, 2024 (early bird tuition fee), or 3 weeks after acceptance (regular tuition fee).
- 80% payment before July 15th, 2024
Option 2 (+3% surcharge)
- 20% payment before 29th of March, 2024 (early bird tuition fee), or 3 weeks after acceptance (regular tuition fee).
- 40% payment before July 15th, 2024
- 40% payment before January 15th, 2025
Option 3 (+5% surcharge)
- 20% payment before 29th of March, 2024 (early bird tuition fee), or 3 weeks after acceptance (regular tuition fee).
- 20% payment before July 15th, 2024
- 20% payment before October 15th, 2024
- 20% payment before January 15th, 2025
- 20% payment before April 15th, 2025
DUO
Students with a Dutch passport and who have resided in the Netherlands for at least three of the preceding six years prior to the date of enrollment are eligible for student finance from DUO.
Foundation Diploma in Fashion
Application fee: € 300
The application fee is due at the moment of application and it’s not refundable unless the Amsterdam Fashion Academy won’t accept you in the programme.
Tuition fee: € 10.250
A deposit (20% of the tuition fee) is requested after the acceptance and before the 29th of March, 2024. The remaining amount will be paid before the 15th of July 2024, or according to the payment plan agreed.

Fast-Track Fashion Design & Business course
Application fee: € 150
The application fee is due at the moment of application and it’s not refundable unless the Amsterdam Fashion Academy won’t accept you in the programme.
Tuition fee: € 5.800
A deposit (20% of the tuition fee) is requested after the acceptance and before the 29th of March, 2024. The remaining amount will be paid before the 15th of July 2024, or according to the payment plan agreed.
We offer 3 payment plans:
- Option 1: 2 instalments;
- Option 2 (+5% surcharge): 3 instalments.
DUO
This programme is not eligible for studiefinanciering.
Part-time courses
Application fee: € 175
The application fee is due at the moment of application and is non-refundable unless the Amsterdam Fashion Academy won’t accept you in the programme.
Tuition fee: € 2.050
The tuition fee must be paid one month before the start date of the course.
Payment plans in instalments not available.
DUO
These programmes are not eligible for student finance (studiefinanciering) from DUO.
Summer courses
Application fee: € 75
The application fee is due at the moment of application and is non-refundable unless the Amsterdam Fashion Academy won’t accept you in the programme.
Tuition fee: € 2.200
The tuition fee must be paid by the 29th of June 2024.
Payment plans in instalments not available.
DUO
These programmes are not eligible for student finance (studiefinanciering) from DUO.
DUO Studie Financiering (Dutch students)
Students with a Dutch passport and who have resided in the Netherlands for at least 3 of the preceding 6 years prior to the date of enrolment are eligible for student finance from DUO. Students are personally responsible for verifying eligibility with DUO.
Please note that only students participating to the Bachelor’s degree Fashion Business and Bachelor’s degree Fashion Design programmes are eligible to apply to DUO. Students participating in the other courses are not eligible.
