To help overcome the rather residing yet out-dated image of fashion as a somewhat exclusive preserve largely entailing garment design, we want to help you better understand the broad range of career opportunities within this major economic sector. The world of fashion, clothing and textiles is undergoing a massive shift away from the wasteful practices of fast fashion towards a more sustainable and socially fair means of production. The digital age is also producing new consumers, markets, lifestyles, and branding, all requiring a much more varied skills base.

It is with this in mind that we would like to provide you with an overview of the fashion industry, its trends and new needs, its challenges and future career opportunities. Amsterdam Fashion Academy would like to invite you to our “Career Counsellors Enrichment Day”, which will take place on Wednesday, 2nd of December from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

You are very welcome to join us at our Academy at Oosteinde 1, in the centre of Amsterdam. We will be taking the strictest health measures to ensure you can participate safely in this event on site. However, please feel free to join in online if you are unable to attend in-person at the Academy.
